1st story
Nadia Abd El Aziz Nessim, 49 years old
I’m a widow and I have four girls. I live in Ezbet Kamal and
I didn’t have regular incomes, only a small pension. Two
years a half ago I had the opportunity to obtain a loan from
EACD micro credits program. It was for me a good way to
increase my revenues; I became chicken’s saleswoman in El
Ezba. The project is running properly, I was able to give a
dowry to my eldest daughter, to offer job opportunity to my
second one in my shop, and to pay schools expenses for the
two others.
Six months ago I finished
paying my monthly installments, thus I was able to begin to
improve my shop, and I bought a fridge on credit.
2nd story
This is an example of a
project that we planned together and that gave job
opportunities for several families in the area. This project
aims to set up a production-line work between several
workshops/families on plastic recycling. The first family is
in charge of grinding the plastic to get small marbles. The
second one takes the marbles to manufacture irrigation
tubes. The third one is responsible of selling them on the
local market and to the agricultural farms.
Those loans and the revenues
generated through the activities give the opportunity to
improve life conditions of the families, and also of the
whole community. |
