story - Nadia
I learned a lot from this program on cultural information, gender issues and
cooperation with others. In the beginning I was shy and I was not speaking with
the women. Now I express myself and I’m speaking with everybody. I learned how
to draw a pattern and I’m able to sew clothes for children.
2nd story - Mervat
Thanks to this program I got introduced to the women of the area and I know them
strongly. I’m very happy and proud because I know how to make a galabeyya. It’s
very useful for me and my family. I work very late at night to be able to attend
the meetings.
3rd
story – Om Doaa
Since a long time I wished to participate in this
type of program but I didn’t get the opportunity
because the places were very far. Now that there is
a project in the area it’s very easy for me to
attend the activities. I learned a lot of new things
on gender issues and sewing. I’m able to teach my
colleagues how to do dolls and bears for the
children. |
